Smocks $150

This is a traditional folk style--historically, it was a man's work shirt. It is a loose fitting, comfortable garment that is knitted sideways and put together with the "wrong" side out. There is no ribbing. The natural tendency of knitting to roll forms soft edges on the neckline, cuffs, and bottom edge. I make rather symetrical smocks, but I have seen directions for ones using more than three colors and having a less balanced look. A smock could become a beautiful coat of many colors. Smocks come in standard sizes. Sleeve length is not critical (unless you have very long arms) since they are flipped over to suit the wearer. See Order form on how to measure for longer sleeves. I have, so far, written patterns for sizes 36 to 56.
